How to live more sustainably?
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE A MORE SUSTAINABLE LIFE
For a long time, I thought it was just recycling and travelling less by car. This sounds easy, but, in fact it does almost no help to the environment. It is better than doing nothing, but why should we not do more? Planet Earth is our home and we should not destroy her. We have already done a lot of damage and we do not have much time.
In this post, I want to share with you few tips that will help you to live more sustainably.
Remember, that you do not have to stick with all of them. This is not about perfection, it is about trying your best for the planet, people and future.

GO VEGAN
If you choose to eat less animal products, or even better, going vegan, you can help the planet a lot.
The greenhouse gas footprint of an animal agriculture is bigger than the footprint of every car, truck, bus, ship, airplane and rocket ship combined. You also save a lot of water, land, trees and grain.
Not to mention, that vegan are much healthier than meat eaters. They have 78% lower risk of getting diabetes, at least 40% lower risk of getting stroke or heart attack, lower risk of cancer and other diseases.
And of course, you will no longer support animal cruelty, unnecessary pain and suffering of other living beings.
REDUCE WASTE
By reducing waste as much as possible you are really helping the Earth.

- Do not use plastic at the grocery. Bring your own bags with you and use them instead.
- Buy product from local farmers, so the food does not have to travel long distances to get to you.
- Buy second-hand clothes as much as possible.
- Invest in better quality items. Slow fashion is better than fast fashion.
- Use metal straws instead of the plastic ones.
- Use cloths instead of paper towels.
- Make your own cosmetics if possible (mask, scrub, ...).
- Borrow books form library instead of buying them.
- Prepare your meal at home, so you save on takeaway containers.
- Adopt pets. There are many orphaned pets who need a family.
